Smooth Solutions Laser Hair Removal proudly is celebrating its three year anniversary at Stone Oak Plaza.  Located at 18720 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite #160, the company held a 3-year Open House Celebration on Tuesday, March 13 with an official Stone Oak Business Association Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

“People ask me how we do it,” says Dr. Steven Finder, founder of Smooth Solutions.  “We decided back in 1997 to offer a quality product at an affordable price.  It’s the difference between us and the competition,” he says.  “We are not here just to make money.  We don’t charge what the market will bear, we charge a fair price.  People ask how we can survive at such low prices.  Instead of asking us why our prices are so low, they should be asking other clinics why their prices are so high,” he says.

Smooth Solutions uses the most effective lasers manufactured.  Dr. Finder didn’t stumble upon the technology by chance.  “We’ve owned every system available”, he says.  “We spent years of research to find what works best for our clients.”  In fact, Dr. Finder is involved with laser research and development with some of the top manufacturers in the world.

Smooth Solutions opened its first location near Ingram Park Mall.  Dr. Finder purposefully chose a location where the household income within five miles was only $40,000 a year, rather than a more prosperous neighborhood, arguing that, “if Smooth Solutions couldn’t be profitable serving the middle class, then it didn’t belong in the business.”  Five years into operation, he was able to expand from this location to nearby Victoria.  Next was a move to open a center in Plano in 2002 and a second Dallas area location in Lewisville in 2003.

The company then turned its sights back on their home turf, as Dr. Finder felt it was time to open the second San Antonio location.

Dr. Finder was faced with an important decision to make . . . where in San Antonio to put it?  “We didn’t want to compete with our first location out on the West side (Ingram). We had a many options: Alamo Heights; the Forum on the East side; Stone Ridge; amongst other locations.  After considering all the factors, in 2007, we chose to open in Stone Oak. That opening far exceeded our wildest hopes. Stone Oak became our number one producing location. And today, even with six locations (three in Dallas), Stone Oak remains the one that all the others are measured against.”

Dr. Finder says, “There are many reasons we have done so well in Stone Oak. It continues to be an extremely fast growing market. The people who live and work in Stone Oak appreciate the value and quality laser hair removal we offer. And the tight knit business community has helped our success tremendously.”

Most recently, the company added a third location in the University Park area of Dallas this past summer.  Instead of rapidly opening new locations, Dr. Finder has slowed the expansion plans so as to focus on building the corporate infrastructure in San Antonio to support the company’s centers and to provide the foundation for expansion into Houston and franchising.
